System Engineering Lead

About the Role
• Evaluate customer specifications and requirements on feasibility, cost, and effort (ASPICE SYS.1 & SYS.2)
• Decide on technical design solutions within the system team in alignment with other lead disciplines on
different domains like SW, HW, Test and Validation focusing on the development system and performance
KPIs.
• Own the system development process and decide on product features and system development process to be followed during the development, including requirements, specification, and development.
• Close collaboration with System Architecture (ASPICE SYS.3)
• Close collaboration with System Qualification (ASPICE SYS.5)
• Leads effort and feasibility analysis of external and internal change requests for system engineering. Ensures that change requests and defects are managed and implemented on time and in accordance with automotive procedures.
Additional Information:
• Supports the timely implementation of the changes and the resolution of the defects
• Leads and reviews the system level DFMEA activities
• Ensures that the deployed system work as intended does meet the customer requirements
• Ensures that the system design is agreed and communicated to all stakeholders using the approved tools and methods
• Responsible for preparing the necessary documentation (e.g. KPI status reports) internal/external/customer management meetings, reviews and/or audits for
• Escalates any program or system issue to the Program Manager or Technical Project Leader
• Supports quoting activities (RFI, RFQ, CRS)
• Supports, understands, and implements the System Engineering strategy in accordance to policies, procedures and operational guidelines related to automotive processes and established quality management systems (IATF 16949, ASPICE, ISO26262)
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent subjects.
• Generalistic overview of product development processes in Automotive industry.
• Familiar with Automotive-Spice and IATF / ISO-TS 16949 and major Automotive certifications, and basic knowledge desired in Functional Safety, ISO26262.
• Desired knowledge of systems engineering, requirements and configuration management.
• Experience in leading project teams is desirable.
• Extensive knowledge of processes, methods and tools for describing, specifying, modeling and simulating system architectures and system engineering.
